Data Sources
Last updated: April 24, 2026
CutoffRank’s data comes entirely from official, publicly available publications. We believe in transparency about where our information originates.
NEET UG cutoff data
Our NEET UG cutoff data is sourced from:
1. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) official PDFs
For All India Quota (15%) rounds: CAP 1, CAP 2, CAP 3, Stray, and Special Stray.
Official source: mcc.nic.in
2. Maharashtra State CET Cell publications
For Maharashtra state quota allotments and Maharashtra-specific category cutoffs.
Official source: cetcell.mahacet.org
3. UP Medical Counselling authority publications
For UP state quota allotments (relevant for marks-to-rank analysis).
4. Careers360 aggregated range tables
Used only as a fallback for marks-to-rank ranges where authoritative per-candidate data is unavailable. Their ranges are treated as low-confidence; we prefer authoritative data wherever possible.
INICET cutoff data
Our INICET cutoff data is sourced from:
1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) INI-CET official publications
For INI Combined Entrance Test rounds across participating institutes.
Marks-to-rank database
Our marks-to-rank lookup is built from:
- Maharashtra CET Cell official “First & Last Admitted Candidates” PDF (2024)
- Maharashtra CET Cell Stray Eligible Lists (2025)
- UP counselling round publications (2024 and 2025)
- NTA official anchor points (NEET UG 2025)
- Careers360 aggregated ranges (as low-confidence fallback)
Combined, this covers over 113,000 verified (marks, AIR) candidate observations sourced from official counselling documents.
College metadata
College names, types, locations, and seat counts come from:
- NMC (National Medical Commission) lists
- State CET Cell seat matrix publications
- NIRF ranking reports
- Individual college websites
Where our normalized name differs from an official name, we preserve the official name as the primary reference.
How often data is updated
We update the database when new counselling rounds conclude and official publications become available. The “Last updated” date at the bottom of the homepage reflects the most recent dataset version.
Corrections and errors
If you notice any error in our data—an incorrect rank, a misspelled college, an outdated value—please email support@cutoffrank.com. We investigate all reports.
