Medical College Kolkata (1838) is the OLDEST MBBS college in Asia, established under British East India Company pre-Mutiny. Heritage colleges include R.G. Kar (1916), Calcutta National + NRS (1948), Bankura Sammilani (1956), IPGMER (1957), North Bengal (1968), and Burdwan (1969).
