- Chhattisgarh was formed in 2000 from Madhya Pradesh. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College Raipur (Pt JNM MC, 1963) was originally part of Madhya Pradesh and is the OLDEST medical college in Chhattisgarh.
- AIIMS Raipur (2012) is the 6th AIIMS established in India under Phase II. Admits 100% via MCC AIQ counselling.
- Chhattisgarh has the HIGHEST ST reservation percentage in India (32%) reflecting its 32% tribal population.
- Cutoffs use a sophisticated 4-tier quota encoding: GQ Government / Mgmt Management / NRI / Minority with special tags PH (PwD), EX (Ex-Serviceman), FF (Freedom Fighter), SP (Sports).
