MBBS fee structures.

MBBS fees in Tamil Nadu vary widely. Government colleges are heavily subsidised at approximately ₹13,610 per annum (all-inclusive). Most self-financing private colleges follow a standardised fee structure: ₹4.5L for Government Quota, ₹13.5L for Management Quota, ₹24.5L for NRI Quota. CMC Vellore is the notable affordable exception in the private segment. Deemed universities set their own fees independently and typically range from ₹13L to ₹30L+ per annum.

  • Government MBBS tuition fees are uniform across all Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges, including ESIC and Rajah Muthiah, at approximately ₹13,610 per annum (all-inclusive).
  • SC/SCA/ST candidates whose parents annual income is below ₹2.5 lakh are exempted from compulsory non-refundable fees at Government Colleges, paying only ₹500.
  • Most Self-Financing Private Medical Colleges follow the standardised fee structure set by the Tamil Nadu Committee on Fixation of Fees: ₹4.5L Government Quota, ₹13.5L Management Quota, ₹24.5L NRI Quota, ₹21.5L NRI Lapsed Quota.
  • CMC Vellore is the most affordable private medical college in Tamil Nadu, with tuition close to government rates due to its Christian minority and missionary status.
